Training Services

At Porter's Equine Centre, we boast a competitive rate for our services. Our monthly training and board fee of $900/month reflects what is necessary maintain a high standard of fitness, comfort and performance. The training services included are daily training, two lessons per week, grooming, work tack provided, turn-out (if appropriate), ointments, liniments, etc.
We are sensitive to each client's individual needs. To best serve these needs, we maintain an open-door policy. We encourage our clients to approach us with any questions and/or concerns at any time. The result is a positive, energetic atmosphere where comfort and fun are paramount.

Trainer, Tina Porter
|
Tina Porter is manager and lead trainer at Porter's Equine Centre, Stewiacke NS. In 1994 Tina founded Porter's Equine Centre, which stands today as a modern, 30-stall, state-of-the-art training, boarding, instruction, breeding, and sales business. Although Tina is best known for her show-string of Morgan horses, she caters to all breeds and riding disciplines.
Tina is a knowledgeable, well-respected horse show judge holding judges cards with United States Equestrian Federation/USEF, and Equine Canada/EC ('r' Morgans). Because of her dedication to the Morgan Breed, she enjoys and has shown horses in the Hunt Seat, Saddleseat, Pleasure Driving, Western and In-Hand Divisions. As well, she has clients that show in the Carriage Driving, Lead-Line and Walk-Trot Divisions.
She has served as President of the NS Morgan Horse Club and is presently Vice-Director Atlantic Region with the Canadian Morgan Horse Association and is a member of Equine Canada, Canadian Morgan Horse Association, NS Morgan Horse Club, United States Equestrian Federation, American Morgan Horse Association and the United Professional Horseman's Association.
Tina enjoys a good working relationship with trainers, instructors, breeders and owners in Canada and the U.S.
